Transport on the day

Getting to the Church

On the RSVP form we will ask if you are arriving at the church from your venue or from the train station (we recommend Banbury Station) - we will then try and buddy you up to get taxis to the church and will be in touch.

Taxi recommendations include:

  • Castle Cars (if coming from the train station)

  • Chipping Norton Taxis (if coming from accomodation)

  • A1 Taxis (if coming from accomodation)

PLEASE NOTE - Uber is not a thing in Oxfordshire, and we recommend booking taxis in advance

If you get to the venue early, the church should be available an hour prior to the ceremony. If you are a partner of someone in the wedding party (or extra early!) then Adderbury has The Red Lion and The Burrow Coffee House both open from 09:00am for breakfast/coffee - both walking distance from the church.

Getting to the Venue:

We will be organising a bus for guests to get between the church and the venue, free of charge. Therefore, we are asking that people avoid bringing their cars to the wedding. If you have specific access needs then please contact us in advance as parking is very limited in both Adderbury and the venue.

Leaving the Venue:

We recommend that you stay overnight in one of the following areas:

  • Hook Norton

  • Chipping Norton

  • Moreton-in-Marsh

  • Stow-on-the-Wold

On the rsvp form we have asked you to let us know where you will be staying - we will then reach out individually to see if you want to pay to go home on a preorganised minibus at the end of the night to one of these locations. If not - we recommend pre-booking a taxi, and the venue is happy for people to wait around for taxis so don’t worry about needing to leave before midnight.

We also recommend these locations for better public transport links, please reach out if you would like more details on how is best to get a train home the next day etc.
